Executive Director of Child Abuse Program CHKD

In 2007, Marie left prosecuting to become the Executive Director for the
Child Abuse Program at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
While there, Marie was responsible for the overall operation and
direction of the Child Abuse Program. As the Executive Director, Marie
supervised a staff of thirty (30) professionals uniquely trained in child
abuse and neglect including the pediatric forensic nurse examiners,
forensic interviewers, clinical staff, and case management staff. She
coordinated medical and mental health interactions with court-related
activities and collaborated with the Virginia State Chapter of Child Abuse
to secure available funding and to promote legislation related to child
abuse.
